My Wake-up Call

There comes a moment in life when your body starts asking for your attention.
Sometimes it whispers.
Sometimes it gets louder.
For me, that wake-up call came when I realized I could no longer ignore my health. After years of caring for others, raising a family, working hard, and putting many things ahead of myself, I reached a point where I knew something had to change.
I wanted more energy.
I wanted to feel stronger.
I wanted to enjoy the years ahead instead of simply hoping I would be healthy enough to enjoy them.
Then came a diagnosis that changed everything.
I was diagnosed with cancer. Suddenly, health was no longer something I could put off until "someday."
I underwent surgery and entered a season of recovery, reflection, and rebuilding.
Cancer has a way of changing your perspective. It makes you look at the choices you've made, the habits you've formed, and the future you still want to create.
I realized I didn't want to simply recover.
I wanted to reclaim my health.
A New Chapter
My journey has led me to learn more about nutrition, movement, and the incredible ability of our bodies to respond to better choices.
I became interested in a whole-food, plant-forward way of eating and the principles behind Mediterranean-style nutrition. I discovered that healthy living doesn't have to mean complicated rules or chasing perfection.
It can be simple.
A nourishing meal.
A walk.
A better night's sleep.
A decision to care for yourself.
Small choices, repeated over time, can create meaningful change.
I Haven't Arrived Yet
The truth is, I am still on this journey.
I don't have a perfect transformation story with a neat ending. I am still learning. I am still making changes. I am still working toward becoming healthier and stronger.
But maybe that is the most important part of the story.
You don't have to wait until you have everything figured out to begin.
You don't have to become a completely different person overnight.
You simply have to take the next step.
One healthy choice.
One simple habit.
One decision to believe that your future is still worth investing in.
Why I Share This Story
I share my story because I know there are other women who feel the same way.
Maybe you have neglected yourself while caring for everyone else.
Maybe you have received a wake-up call of your own.
Maybe you wonder if it is too late to make changes.
It is never too late…
To improve your health.
To create new habits.
To begin again.
This is my journey of reclaiming my body, my health, and my future.
And I hope that by sharing it, you are reminded that your story is still being written too.
One step.
One decision.
One day at a time.
